Pull high-quality still frames out of any video, right in your browser — free, no upload, and completely private. Your video never leaves your device.

Scrub frame by frame for a pixel-perfect grab, or auto-extract a frame every few seconds. Then let the built-in sharpness finder do the hard part: it scores every frame for blur and highlights the crispest ones, so you pick the cleanest thumbnail without squinting. Export single frames or a whole batch as a ZIP, combine them into a labeled contact sheet, and reframe any frame to 1:1, 9:16, or 16:9 for social — all in PNG or JPG, at original resolution if you want it.

Great for YouTube thumbnails, storyboards, product shots, and social clips. Works with MP4 (H.264) and WebM in any modern browser.

FAQ

Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The video is read and processed entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.
How does the sharpest-frame finder work?
Each captured frame is scored for sharpness (using Laplacian variance, a standard blur measure). The crispest frame in your set is badged "Sharpest", and you can sort the whole set by sharpness.
Why is my video not loading?
Some videos use codecs browsers can't decode (often HEVC/H.265 or AV1). Try an MP4 (H.264) or WebM file, or open the tool in Chrome or Edge.
What formats can I export?
Single frames or a ZIP of all frames in PNG or JPG, a combined contact-sheet PNG, and social crops at 1:1, 9:16, or 16:9.
